Q: What is The Pixelated Wellness Club hosted by Emily Majkrzak, LSW?A: The club is a therapeutic group dynamic designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where children, adolescents, or adults can discuss mental health concerns, develop coping strategies, and receive guidance on managing stressors and frustrations, all while interacting both via telehealth and within the chosen video game realm.
Q: What do I need to do for myself (18+ groups) or my child to join the group session?A: Each week, you (18+ groups ) or your child will need to log onto a telehealth link that will be sent once registration has been completed. The participant will need to be in front of (and logged into) their gaming console and a computer, tablet or phone (for the telehealth component), free of distractions and interruptions from other members of the household. Lastly, you will need to provide the participants User ID(s) to the clinician prior to the start of group. Upon request, we can provide the clinicians User ID instead.
Q: What if I receive a link via Simple Practice reminding me of an appointment?A: Please ignore this link! It's automatically sent sometimes due to having your child in on our calendar for notes. We will only be using the link that your clinician will provide prior to your first group session.
Q: What happens to my (18+ groups) or my child's User ID once they complete the group session(s)?A: Rest assured, once the participant completes or terminates with Connect's group session(s), their User ID will be promptly deleted and confirmation will be sent to you at the email address provided during intake.
Q: What should I do if I (18+ groups) or my child is unable to attend a session?A: If the participant will be unable to attend a session, kindly let us know by reaching out to us at 630-410-9587. There will be no charge for missed sessions, however if they miss 2 or more in a row, we may pause your participation for that session while we provide the spot to someone on our waitlist. If this occurs, you will be informed via email of the next session start date.
Q: What do I need to do to enroll my child in the Gaming Group?A: After registering yourself or your child, you'll receive an email from our software, Simple Practice, which will require you (18+ groups) or both the parent and child to complete some forms to begin the medical chart associated with the group. You or your child cannot participate in the group unless all paperwork has been completed. Lastly, prior to your first session your clinician will reach out via email and provide you with the telehealth link and ask for the User ID(s). Please check your spam folder if you don't see it, and let us know if you don't receive the email with 24 hours.
Q: Do I really need to complete all of the forms?A: Yes, intake forms must be completed PRIOR to the first group session. Any participant with incomplete paperwork will not be able to attend.
Q: Our pre-enrollment form was missing a space for the child's email address. What should I do?A: Please reach out to ConnectOnline@Premiermbs.com with the additional email address we can use for your child. This will allow them to complete their portion of the paperwork and provide them with an email link to join the group. The email must be different than your email.
Q: I am not comfortable with my child having an email address or providing one for them. What should I do? A: Feel free to create a family email account, that they could be granted access to for the intake paperwork. The intake paperwork is the only thing that we will need them to complete.
Q: I did not receive an email after registration. What do I do? A: Please check your spam folder if you don't see it, and let us know if you don't receive the email within 24 hours of completing the registration form.
Q: Will the group provide games for my child to play during sessions?A: No, the group will not be providing any games. Prior to joining the group, you and your child will need to have purchased and have access to all the games. We'll be utilizing what your child currently owns.
Q: Can I receive assistance in setting up my game or online platform during the group session?A: No, troubleshooting cannot be accommodated during the session except in minor cases. For assistance in setting up your game or online platform, please inform your clinician or intake ahead of the group start time.

Q: Can I use insurance to cover the sessions?A: If you have insurance that you would like billed for sessions, please email (ConnectOnline@PremierMBS.com Subject Line: Insurance Info for (NAME) for The Pixelated Wellness Group) a copy of the card along with the child's name and birthday, and we will get back to you within 24 hours to discuss benefits and out of pocket costs.
Q: I don't want to use insurance. What is the cost?A:Typically a 1 hour group will cost $35- $55 and a 2-hour group will cost between $55-85 a week. This will all depend on the type of group being offered. The exact cost for a particular group can be found on the registration link.
